NOTICE/Events BOARD
2024 CATS Production of Snow White
The pantomime is over for another year and has, thanks to the hard work, commitment and enthusiasm of all those involved, been a tremendous success. Only a small number of tickets for the Friday evening remained unsold with Saturday evening selling out completely.
The cast and crew worked extremely hard to bring our community an excellent show and it seems, from feedback received, that we succeeded. Everyone appears to have thoroughly enjoyed themselves with some of the audience telling us this was amongst the best we have put on.
CATS are extremely grateful to all those who gave up their time to take part both on and off stage. We want to say a huge 'THANK YOU' to you all because without your support CATS would not be able to stage these events. As well as the cast and crew, CATS would like to thank East Cowton village shop and the Beeswing Inn for selling tickets, White Rose Agriculture for printing the programs and Proper Pizzas for feeding the cast and crew after the performance.
We have put some photos of the show (here), reproduced with kind permission of parents and photographers, so you can see the level of talent and skill demonstrated on stage in the makeup, props, dance routines and in designing and producing costumes.
CATS have been asked if we will be putting on further shows and the answer, with your ongoing support is...oh yes we will!!

Village Hall Sound System - The equipment purchased by CATS with a National Lottery grant has now been permanently installed in the village hall. All that remains to do is to finish off some cable ducting which will be completed in the near future. The Amp and sound desk are stored in their boxes on top of the cupboard in the back room along with the new microphone stands (x3). The microphones and leads (x3) are stored in the cupboard (right hand side when viewed from the kitchen). A user guide will be written and added in the near future. Once complete, the system will be formally handed over to the ECVH committee for community use.
As part of this installation, a hearing loop has also been installed. This has been wired in but requires some further work before it can be switched on and used. This too will be complete in the near future.

2023 Dickensian Christmas event
Well, our Dickensian Christmas event was a success with everyone attending having a great time. A big THANK YOU to all those who took part, on stage and behind the scenes and especially to those who came along to watch it. We hope this may become a regular event in the village calendar.
Some pictures of the event can be seen here.

New Stage Lighting System - The new stage lighting system, purchased with a grant from the National Lottery by CATS, is now complete and has been handed over to the East Cowton Village Hall Committee for community use. A users guide explaining how to operate the system has been written and is stored with the lighting control unit in a cupboard in the back room of the village hall.
